Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
When he was in college, Dr. Thomas had the opportunity to start shadowing various dentists. He always knew that he wanted to work in healthcare after seeing how dedicated his mother (a nurse and hospital administrator) was to her patients. He also saw that his own dentist had a fulfilling career, and after experiencing dentistry firsthand, he knew it was the path for him.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Thomas attended Loyola University Chicago before earning his dental degree at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He then completed a three-year residency in periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh.
Today, he is certified in Wilckodontics, which is also known as Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (AOO), a procedure that allows teeth to be shifted by orthodontic movement at a faster pace. Dr. Thomas is also certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) where he underwent significant training to administer Botox to relieve TMD, migraine pain, and smooth wrinkle lines on the face. He has another certification to provide dermal fillers to enhance the lips and restore youthful volume to the face as well.
